The temperature climbs above 60 degrees,

for the first time in a long, snowy winter.

The whole town is in t-shirts, shorts, and dresses.

Music blasting,

dancing in the sunshine.

A man sits on a bench and sings with his guitar,

a girl strolls and shops throughout the downtown streets.

Bottles of rose’,

windows open,

and birds chirping.

Our first taste of spring,

and suddenly the world doesn’t seem as dark or as bad.

First rays of warmth,

and bliss is in the air.
